Your Privacy Choices
Turn off advertising cookies in this browser, or ask us to access or delete what we hold about you.
1. Advertising cookies and identifiers
Turning this on stops us sharing advertising cookies and identifiers from this browser with advertising partners. It applies to this browser on this device only — that is the level a browser can act at, so you will need to set it again on another device, in another browser, or after clearing your browsing data.
It does not switch off basic analytics, which we use to understand how pages perform. It also does not affect anything you have already sent us through the chat; for that, see section 2.
This control needs JavaScript and browser storage. If it will not save, email info@1law.com and we will record the request by hand.
Your browser may be able to send this signal to every site at once, without you setting it here. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically. Brave sends it by default; Firefox sends it once you enable it in privacy settings; several extensions add it to other browsers.
2. Access, correction, and deletion
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop transferring your inquiry to attorneys in future. Email info@1law.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
One thing makes a request much faster to act on, because of how our records are actually organised:
- If you created an account, give us that email address. That is the identifier we can search directly.
We will not ask you for more information than we need to confirm the request is yours, and we will not use anything you send for a privacy request for any other purpose.
3. Published questions and answers
We publish consumer legal questions and attorney-reviewed answers as general legal information, with names and identifying details removed first. If a published page came from your question and you want it taken down, email us as above and we will remove it. Removal takes the page off our website; it cannot retrieve copies already held in search-engine caches or third-party archives.
Our Privacy Policy sets out what we collect and why, and our Terms of Use cover publication.
